My Calendar Is Not Syncing
Calendar sync issues
If your synced calendar is not showing updated bookings, here is how to fix it.
How sync works
Calendar sync uses an iCal feed (a URL). Your calendar app periodically checks this URL for updates. This is a one-way sync: Parcel pushes data to your calendar.
Common issues
Delayed updates: Most calendar apps only check for updates every 1 to 24 hours. A new booking might not appear immediately.
Stale data: If your calendar has not updated in a while:
- Google Calendar: Remove and re-add the subscription
- Apple Calendar: Open Calendar preferences, find the subscription, and set refresh to "Every hour"
- Outlook: Remove and re-subscribe
Wrong URL: Make sure you are using the current iCal URL from your Calendar page. If you copied an old URL, it may no longer work.
Re-syncing
1. Go to Calendar in the portal 2. Copy the iCal URL 3. In your calendar app, remove the old subscription 4. Add a new subscription with the fresh URL 5. Set the refresh interval to the shortest available option
Limitations
- Sync is one-way (Parcel to your calendar)
- Events you add to your personal calendar do not block dates on Parcel
- Some calendar apps cache aggressively; force-refresh if needed
